Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Eiras Labs LLC ("Eiras Labs", "we", "us") handles information when you use the Magnetz mobile app, website, and related services (the "Service").

The short version. Magnetz does not ask for an email or password to start. It processes only the photos you choose, keeps precise location private, gives you visibility controls, and lets you export or delete your collection from inside the app. We do not sell personal information or show third-party ads.

1. Information we handle

Installation identity. A random identifier and secret credential are created for this installation. The credential is stored in your device's secure storage and authenticates requests without a visible login.
Profile information. The display name, @tag, optional profile photo, and visibility settings you choose.
Captures and creations. Photos you take or select, processed stickers, thumbnails, collages, drawings, text, and related editing information.
Place information. The city and country you choose or derive from location. If you grant location access, a capture may also include precise coordinates, which remain owner-only.
Social information. Friend requests, friendships, blocks, and the collection visibility needed to show content to the people you choose.
Purchase status. The anonymous RevenueCat identifier associated with the installation and whether the Premium entitlement is active. Apple processes payment details; we do not receive card information.
Operational information. Requests and technical errors the backend records to run the Service, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures. The app does not currently send private images, precise coordinates, or media URLs to a third-party analytics service.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and store stickers, organize cities and collages, show your map, enforce visibility choices, connect friends, process or restore Premium access, respond to support, prevent abuse, and keep the Service reliable.

3. Photos and camera

Camera and photo-library access are used only for images you actively capture or select. The chosen image is uploaded to the Magnetz backend and sent to our image-processing provider so the subject can be separated from the background. The original is stored with the capture so you can retry or refine it and so an extraction failure does not discard your work. We do not scan the rest of your photo library, and Eiras Labs does not use your images to train advertising models.

4. Location

Location permission is optional. When allowed, the app uses your location to suggest the correct city and country for a capture. You can choose a city manually instead. Precise coordinates are owner-only, are not returned in friend-facing collection views, and can be removed from existing stickers under Settings → Location while city labels remain.

Your profile, city collection, and collages each support Everyone, Friends only, or Only me visibility. People may search for your @tag, but media is served according to the applicable visibility rule. Original photos remain owner-only. Blocking prevents the blocked installation from finding you, sending requests, or viewing your shared collection.

6. Service providers

We use service providers only where needed to operate Magnetz:

Apple for App Store distribution, purchases, refunds, and subscription management.
RevenueCat to synchronize and verify anonymous subscription entitlements.
Replicate to process the specific images you submit for background removal.
Render for application hosting and storage used by the Magnetz backend.
Cloudflare and OpenAI Sites for this public website and its delivery.

These providers process information under their own contracts and privacy terms. We do not sell personal information.

7. Retention, export, and deletion

We keep a collection while its installation identity remains active. In Settings → Your data, you can export a structured copy of your account data or choose Delete everything. Deletion invalidates the installation credential and removes the profile, cities, stickers, collages, friendships, related database rows, and the installation's stored media from active systems. Limited records may remain only where required for security, legal compliance, or reliable backup expiry.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, object to, or restrict certain processing. Many controls are available directly in the app. Because Magnetz uses an installation identity rather than an email login, we may need a request to come from the device holding the credential so we can verify ownership.

9. Children

Magnetz is not directed to children under 13, or below the minimum age at which they may use an online service in their country. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it.

10. Security and international processing

We use encrypted network connections, an authorization-checked media route, secure on-device credential storage, and access controls designed to keep originals owner-only. No system is perfectly secure. Providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to the safeguards available under their terms and applicable law.

11. Changes and contact
